Main highlights of the week:

1.Cooked an egg meal. REALLY eggish. It consists of abalone instant porridge(with egg), french toast(dipped in egg), omelette with luncheon meat，and muffin!(with consists of one egg) Muffin was instant too! Basically, we had a very instant and eggish meal. =D

2.Watched a concert, symphonic band. Theme was disney animation theme songs, ticket price at 60RMB! Quite worth it to watch, though abit nostalgic. 揪起了童年的回忆。物是人非啊。。

3.I created a poem! It was a piece of homework, done for extra credit. Nevertheless, I was quite amazed by myself=D

《今离别》

日出耀万物，花茂雀飞腾。

万物皆复生，唯我心未萌。

身在公路上，心留古时车。

古时舟漫游，今日车速掣。

欲赏车边景，景却无法留。

窗外已朦胧，还是泪暗流？

机场聚散多，离别又重逢。

聚散谁能知，只盼情长久。

俯瞰机窗景，傻寻亲人影。

未生乡思情，已入白云里！

We had to model the poem after one of the more contemparary poem, bringing out the more sophisticated forms of transport and technology. The teacher read out all the poems, and after class, one of our classmates asked if Singaporeans actually write poems, and that he was impressed!! Yay! Haha but all the scholars poems were very well written,impressive wor~~~

已渐渐适应这里的生活。也许人生就是得越雷池一步，才能体会那种刺激与成功后的满足感。原来天空是如此的辽阔。。。

Did I mention that I was taking computer lessons in chinese? Its a compulsory module, called 文科计算机. Ohman after 2 years of H1 maths, I'm learning binary code in CHINESE!! Something like: 0=0,1=1,2=10,3=11,4=100,5=101 etc-- this is called 二进制。There is 二进制，八进制，十进制，十六进制。

Imagine computer terms in chinese! Its like learning arabic.='(

I just feel like cursing.

Finally something in english eh? Haha shall just spare all of you out there with my broken chinese.

The Chinese national holday has just ended, school is officially starting! Aside from the Chinese modules, my electives are Western Scholarship-we study about the west's philosophy, psychology, history, culture etc, and social psychology! For western scholarship, exam format's MCQ~~~ btw, its taught in English! I could feel some difference in the education system, esp the content taught in China. When possible, they will bring in some Karl Marx idea or sometimes even criticise Western ideology. I went for a Western literature class, and the professor was kinda mocking the text-Odepius Rex. It was like har?? she supposed to teach us how to appreciate the text, not mock the text!!=-=

Studies aside, I shall backtrack a little and talk about my one day tour in Beijing! As the saying goes, a picture says a thousand words...

We randomly took a bus and sat allll the way to its final stop, and here we go~ We have老舍茶馆！Too toursity, so we decided to be more brave...

If you look closely, you can see that it says 施家胡同。 I actually went into a 胡同！

Then we decided to be creative, thus playing 食字路口in 北京胡同里！ Our first taste of Beijing's hutong 小吃 was...

Then came 烤肉串! My grilled sotong and Kaili's grilled chicken=D

Then comes the mango ice cream and 冰糖葫芦！ The hulu wasnt as nice as the peach one i ate few 2 years ago at China with soph simin kel and sizhao. Hahah it was so nice i rmbed till now! But anw, here it is..

Then, qinghua and yimeng discovered his 窝窝头！ Which Cat and Kaili also bought to try, that's why I was the one taking this really nice group shot=D

This one's really weird...lol.

Then, the brave us went randomly onto another bus and here we are.. on our way to destination X. The excitement of the unknown!

And lastly! Dinner at a seafood restaurant which doesnt sell prawns nor crab, thank goodness yimeng(who aspires to be a fishmonger) bought a rainbow trout and SALMON (which became our SELF COOKED dinner yesterday-YUM!!!) and the restaurant's chef steamed it for us.

And lastly, before we went home: some touristy place=-= bUT it was really beautiful! With the lights spotting the night sky, if only the pollution wasnt that bad=(

All in all, 我的十一假期晚得非常愉快！很开心能认识这帮人=）最后，祝在新加坡的你们也和我一样开心，人生就这么短暂，就看开点吧=D
